With an SC rank of 36,000, getting CSE in NITs, IIITs, or top GFTIs is highly unlikely. Most NITs close CSE admissions for SC candidates below 6,000 rank (e.g., NIT Agartala ~5,738). IIITs like IIIT Pune close around 3,704. GFTIs also have much lower closing ranks. Given these trends, admission to CSE is not feasible at these institutions. You may consider other engineering branches or private colleges where the cutoff aligns with your rank.
