there are various levels in hotel management courses.  you can do a six month or 1 year certification courses on hotel management or hospitality management . or you may opt for 2 years diploma course. if you have passed 10+2 course, you can do 3 years graduate degree in hotel management. indian institute of hotel management is the best institute to pursue hotel management courses.

you need to appear in echat (Electronic Common Hospitality Aptitude Test) exam to get admission in hotel management courses in iihm.
