Hello aspirant,

If you want to become a psychiatrist, you must take biology in 12th grade. You must thoroughly understand the brain's structure in order to investigate how the brain functions. You should be familiar with the medications that can be used to treat patients if you want to become a psychiatrist.

So, yes biology is required for doing psychology course.

Thank you

Under the umbrella of Psychology subject there are many subjects, including biology and sociology. Psychologists study the relationship between the brain and behavior, and between the environment and behavior.some university allow students to take admission in ug courses of psychology without biology and some colleges don't allow.

So you need to check your interested colleges prospectus for eligibility criteria of each college like mostly msc in psychology dont allow candidates to take admission without maths but you can go for m a in psychology which includes subjects like

Maths, Statistics, Sociology, Anthropology, Economics, Politics, Philosophy, and History.

All the best for your future!
