Hello, Upesh. National Testing Agency has issued instructions on dress code required to be followed by candidates on the day of the exam. This has been issued as measure for prevention of malpractices and cheating. The summary of the guideline goes something like this:

  • As per the COVID 19 safety protocols, candidates (both male and female must wear a mask and gloves.)
  • Male candidates should wear half sleeve shirts/T-shirts only (full sleeve shirts are not allowed on the day of the exam).
  • Clothes worn by male individual, should be light in color and must be without zip pockets, pockets, big buttons etc. Clothes with elaborate embroidery are strictly prohibited.
  • Trousers and simple pants are preferred for males. Kurta pajama is not allowed.
  • Shoes/Snickers are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. It is advisable that candidates wear sandals or chappals with a thin sole.
  • Female candidates are instructed not to wear clothes that have elaborate embroidery, flowers, brooches, or buttons as this is forbidden.
  • Female candidates should wear half sleeve clothes as well.
  • Jeans with big and numerous pockets will generally not be allowed for females. It is advisable not to wear jeans or denims on the day of exam.
  • It is best to avoid high heels and thick sole shoes and to opt for sandals or slippers. Low heel footwear is also allowed.
