Hey!There
No,you can't write GATE in third year of your bachelor of engineering,this provision has been removed by gate conducting body.Ony B.tech/B.E or it's equivalent passed Graduates or appearing in it can write GATE PAPER..

Hello,

No. You cannot appear for GATE examination in third year of your B.E  graduation.

According to eligibility criteria of GATE, to appear for GATE on the basis of under graduation, you need to complete your B.E or B.Tech in any discipline. You can also appear for GATE in final year of your B.E or B.Tech.
