Although you can become a private tutor of english after completing BA, you need to have a BEd degree and qualify the national or state level competitive exams for the same if you want to get a government and well settled job.

To become a teacher you have to pursue Bachelors of Education once you have completed your under graduation i.e. in your case Bachelors of Arts in English. Some exams one can give after completion of B.Ed to become a teacher with a Government Institution/College/University:-

1. TET (Teacher Eligibility Test)
2. CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test)
3. NET (National Eligibility Test)
4. SLET (State Level Eligibility Test or State Eligibility Test.)
5. TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher)
6. PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)
