Coming to your question you can get seat in the other colleges based on your nit rank that is your jee main rank.

Colleges that accept their admission process through jee is

Thapar University in Punjab it is one of the best University but it quite costly.

Norma University gujrat, pdpu Gandhinagar,jIIT Noida and the state like Rajasthan ,Punjab ,Chattisgarh,Haryana uses jee main rank to get admission in their colleges.

Yes you will get other Colleges if your rank is Enough to get seat in NIT.
But why go for other Colleges when you have option of NIT.
But you can choose other colleges.
