Hi, chinmay admission to Indian institute of technology goes through two level process. First is jee mains and second is jee advanced. Jee mains is conducted by cbse for admission into National institutes of technology and other government institutes while IITs conduct jee advanced which is top level engg. entrance exam only for admission in IITs. After doing well in jee mains you are eligible for jee advanced and doing very well in jee advanced will get you a seat in IITs you can't skip this is the only process for admission in IITs.Thank you
Hello Aspirant!
No, because JEE Mains is only the test for going into NITs , IIITs, GFTIs and other private engineering colleges.
For taking admission or opting into IITs(Indian Institutes of Technology) an individual must have to clear the JEE Advanced Examination , for getting admission in the premier institutes(i.e the IITs).
Hope this helps you :)
For IIT institute, JEE advanced has to be qualified.
For qualifying into JEE advanced you have to qualify in JEE Mains . So the process goes on like this, first you have JEE Mains and if you qualify then you give JEE advanced and if you are qualified in this too then on the merit basis you are allotted with particular IIT institute.
Hope this helps
