First u need to attend JEE Mains, If u are qualified then u can attend the JEE Advanced.
You need to get above the cutoff for qualifing.It depends on the paper difficulty and trend varies accordingly every year.
If u are into any reserved category it is easy for u to qualify.

First you will take the JEE Mains examination and then if you qualify the cut off released you will be able to attempt the JEE advanced. So you can take both the exams only if you qualify the cut off in Mains first.
