Hello aspirant,

With rank ~5931, you have decent chances for DNB General courses (especially in non-clinical & some para-clinical) in good hospitals. Likely branches you may get:

  • DNB Anaesthesia
  • DNB Pediatrics (in peripheral institutes)
  • DNB General Medicine/Obstetrics (in smaller hospitals or in later rounds)

You should definitely secure a decent clinical branch in DNB by 2nd/3rd round.

With a NEET PG 2025 rank of 5931, you have good chances of getting DNB clinical branches like General Medicine as cutoffs for this usually close around 6000 to 6300. You may also get other clinical courses such as Paediatrics, Surgery, or Anaesthesia depending on seat availability. Chances in top government DNB seats may be slightly tougher but you should be able to secure a seat in private or deemed institutions through counselling. Use a college predictor to check exact options.

With a rank of 5931 in NEET PG 2025, you definitely have a good chance in DNB General Medicine. Looking at the previous year’s cut-offs, seats in General Medicine under DNB were usually available till around 7,000–8,000 ranks (sometimes even more depending on hospital and state).

At 5931, you should be able to get DNB General Medicine in reputed private hospitals and even some decent corporate hospitals. Of course, the exact seat allotment will depend on this year’s counselling trends, hospital preferences, and the category you belong to.

If you are specifically targeting DNB General Medicine, I would suggest keeping backup options like Respiratory Medicine, Pediatrics, or Anesthesia in mind too, since these branches also had similar or slightly higher cutoffs last year.

So overall, yes – with your rank, chances for DNB General Medicine are quite good in this counselling.
