The carbon cycle is the biogeochemical cycle in which carbon is exchanged between the biosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere of our planet i.e Earth . The annual movements of carbon , the carbon exchanges between reservoirs, occur because of various chemical, physical, geological, and biological processes. Carbon may be transferred from one reservoir to another during exchange in seconds (for example, the fixation of atmospheric CO2into sugar through photosynthesis) or over millennia (e.g., the accumulation of fossil carbon (coal, oil, gas) through deposition of organic matter
