CAT is conducted for admission to top tier B-schools in India including IIM's and MATis used by next tier of B-schools for admission. If you score well in CAT To get admission in top IIMs then it would be better.

Cat is acceptable in most of the Top B school and difficulty level higher then Mat exam that's why this score is more preferable by prestigious university or Institute.
