Suspend the cell cycle is correct because g0 phase cell are not exist the cell due to reversible nature of division are still appriciable

DO CHALLENGE THE QUESTION MORE AND MORE ! THE ANSWER SHOULD BE 'EXIT THE CELL CYCLE' EXPLAINATION: in updated NCERT FIG 10.1 PAGE NO.163 G0 is clearly shown to be outside the cell cycle. Further there are 2 types of G0 cells- Reversible and Irreversible. Reversible ones can continue the cell cycle but majority are irreversible which EXIT cell cycle permanently.

Suspend the cell cycle is correct, because according to English dictionary suspend mean to stop something from being active temporarily or permanently. So the cells in the cell in the G0 phase suspend the cell cycle but not exit

According to ncert, those cells that do not divide further EXIT G1 PHASE and enter into G0 phase.

It does not say that these cells will exit the  CELL CYCLE.

Guys suspend simply means “Stopping temporarily“, terminate means “Stopping permanently“ whereas exit can be either temporary or permanent. The most appropriate option is ”exit the cell cycle“. Moreover, the cells simply enter a quiescent stage where they stop going into S phase which means they are simply exiting the cell cycle. (G0 is not a part of cell cycle in the diagram mentioned in the updated NCERT.)

But the ncert neither confirms exit the cell cycle nor suspend the cell cycle. The NCERT body should be responsible for the discrepancies and marks should be provided either way. I have challenged it.

I believe you are wrong since cells exit G1 phase to enter G0 phase of the cell cycle. Source- LATEST NCERT VERSION, PAGE 164.

Ncert says the cell which will not divide further exit the G1 phase and enter into G0 phase it doesn't mean that cells in G0 phase exit the cell cycle
