Hello Shanu,

You must join a one year course for JEE mains+ advanced preparation after taking drop from class. 12. As per the eligibility criteria, a candidate can have three attempts for JEE mains and two attempts for JEE advanced in the consecutive year from the class 12. So , even if you don't appear for examination, your attempt would be counted.

So, if you would pursue a 2 year course for JEE mains+ advanced after taking drop then after two years, you would not be eligible for JEE advanced. So it's better to pursue one year course for JEE mains+ advanced.

Thank you.
