Colleges for btech which doesn't consider 12th marks
Several engineering colleges in India offer B.Tech programs where admission is based on entrance exam scores like JEE Main and not solely on 12th marks. These include institutions like IITs, NITs, IIITs, and some private universities. While 12th marks are still considered for eligibility, the entrance exam performance ultimately determines admission.
Colleges where 12th marks are not a primary factor for admission:
IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology): IITs primarily use JEE Advanced scores for admission.
NITs (National Institutes of Technology): NITs use JEE Main scores and also consider the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) process.
IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology): Many IIITs use JEE Main and other entrance exams like JEE Advance for admission.
BITS Pilani: BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is the primary criterion for admission.
VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology): VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination) is used for B.Tech admissions.
SRM University: SRMJEEE (SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination) is used for B.Tech admissions.
Manipal Institute of Technology: MET (Manipal Entrance Test) is used for B.Tech admissions.
Amrita School of Engineering: Amrita University conducts its own entrance exam for admission.
Other Private Universities: Many private universities like LPU, Amity, and UPES also use their own entrance exams for B.Tech admissions.
Hello,
Most engineering colleges in India require 12th marks for BTech admission, but a few might not strictly consider them, especially private or management quota seats. Some options you can check are:
-
Private universities with their own entrance exams or direct admission policies.
-
Deemed universities that focus more on entrance tests or other criteria.
-
Some colleges offer lateral entry or admission through entrance exams like JEE Main, where 12th marks have less weight.
However, it is rare to find good BTech colleges that completely ignore 12th marks. Most government and good private colleges consider 12th marks as important.
Hope it helps !
