D A V DEGREE COLLEGE, JANSATH MUZAFFARNAGAR

D.A.V. Society was founded in 1917 and first entered the field of higher education in 1950 with graduate programmes and then postgraduate classes in 1958. It was quickly acknowledged as a prominent state institution by both the public and the government. Prof. Sheetal Prasad, the school's founder, was named Vice-Chancellor of Agra University. Dr. V.P. Aggarwal was honoured as an internationally renowned scientist, and Dr. B.K. Tyagi was appointed to the U.P. Higher Education Service Commission. In 1994-95, the state of Uttar Pradesh designated D.A.V. College Muzaffarnagar as one of the top three institutions in the state, out of all grant-in-aid and government colleges.
