During the interview, you'll face a question as to why you took a two year drop. However, it should have a drastic effect on your placement and such. The more important things to take care of are your grades in engineering and to gather skills, along with doing projects. That'll be the focal point in the interview. If you plan on doing an MBA after B-Tech, there will be questions regarding the two year drop but again, your performance in graduate course will be given more importance. So make sure to work hard in engineering so as to take focus away from what occurred earlier. Hope this helps.
Good luck.

If you have the desired skills that they are looking for and are better at it compared to the rest of the applicants, then you will get selected for sure. However, they might question you about the reason behind you dropping the 2 years and make sure it was a valid one.
