differentiate between syngamy and triple fusion
The fusion of male and female gametes during the fertilization is known as syngamy. The fusion of the sperm cell with the two polar nuclei during the double fertilization is known as triple fusion.
The result of syngamy is an embryo. The result of triple fusion is an endosperm.
Syngamy produces a haploid cell. Triploid is the end result of triple fusion produces a triploid body.
Syngamy= 1male gamete+egg cell
Triple fusion= 1 male gamete + 2 polar nuclei
