After a diploma, you can take lateral entry admission into the 2nd year of BTech in a related branch. Your BTech specialization depends on your diploma field, such as CSE for Computer Science, Mechanical for Mechanical, and ECE for Electronics. Admission is through lateral entry exams (LEET, JELET, etc.) or direct college admission

Hello there,

After completing a Diploma, you can get lateral entry into B.Tech 2nd year through LEET (Lateral Entry Entrance Test) or direct admission in some colleges. The subjects you will study in B.Tech depend on your Diploma branch.

Common subjects for different branches:

  1. Computer Science (CSE/IT): Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating Systems, DBMS, AI, Cybersecurity

  2. Mechanical Engineering: Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Manufacturing, Machine Design

  3. Electrical Engineering (EE): Circuit Analysis, Power Systems, Electrical Machines, Control Systems

  4. Civil Engineering: Structural Analysis, Concrete Technology, Surveying, Transportation Engineering

  5. Electronics & Communication (ECE): Analog & Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Communication Systems

  6. Automobile Engineering: Vehicle Design, IC Engines, Automobile Dynamics

You will also study Mathematics, Engineering Ethics, and Soft Skills in most branches.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Hello,

After completing a Diploma , you can pursue B.Tech through lateral entry (direct 2nd year admission) in a related branch. The B.Tech subjects depend on your Diploma specialization . For example:

Diploma in Mechanical → B.Tech in Mechanical

Diploma in Civil → B.Tech in Civil

Diploma in Electrical → B.Tech in Electrical

Choose a B.Tech branch aligned with your Diploma for better career opportunities

Hope this helps you,

Thank you
