There is hardly any difference between both branches, only terminology is different.

Mechatronics involves Robotic and Artificial intelligence, Control and System engineering, Medical Automation, Sensory automation, etc.

Mechatronics is combination of Computer Science, Electronic and Mechanical engineering and has application and usecases from all above branches.

Some of best Institution offering Mechatronics Engineering are SRM University and UPES Dehradun.

The roles offered are in various sectors like Robotics, Aerospace, Defense, Automotive and Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Power, Mining and Metallurgy, etc.

The course is niche and integration of branches.

Hope it clears the picture, shall you have doubts feel free to ask..!!
