Dear student,
Yes, you have to pay the fees for studying at an iit as for other colleges. Once you crack jee advance, you have to go for josaa counselling in which you will be allotted colleges according to your rank. Once you get into an iit, you need to pay semester wise fee that would include academic and non academic fees. Also if you choose to stay at a hostel, you need to pay fees for that too. However students having difficulty to pay the fees take up education loans abd students with weak financial background also get a tuition fee waiver.
