Thapar Institute has revised their eligibility criteria for Be/BTech and now they will take all the admissions on the basis of 12th marks. JEE is not mandatory from now.

The Basic eligibility in Thapar Institute to take admission in BE/B.Tech is the candidate must be a passed out of 10+12 with minimum 70% of marks and if you belongs to SC/ST then the candidate should have minimum 65% of marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.

TIET will be offering seats to all B.Tech studentsfor 2020-21 through merit in class 12. Students who qualified for JEE mains will be given higher preference. The last date to submit the application form for admission to BE courses at TIET has been extended tille July 31, 2020.
Candidates will be called for counselling and allotted seats on the basis of their merit. To check the merit list, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. The counselling process will be held in online mode. After allotment, the candidates will have to verify their documents and pay the fee to confirm their admission.
