Does ba have no value of even if i do it from du or bhu.... Or if i m not selected upsc will i not have any affective plan b... Will everything be closed after that... Is bcom better if i think of plan b.... Will have to work harder than other as i m in general category

Hello!

No, it's not that BA has no value or anything of that sort. One can opt for BA(programme) or BA(Honours).  The most important thing is that you choose your course based on your interest. After a degree in BA, there are abundance of career opportunities in a range of creative disciplines. It's true that many people choose arts as a discipline to opt for civil services. But, it doesn't mean there are no other available alternatives. One can go for higher degrees in their subjects. One could further go in Media sector, Teacher/ professor, content creation, social services and so on. One could go for law, banking, MBA or other such sectors where they will have to give competitive exams. So, there are endless career opportunities associated with BA.
