Yes, Chemical engineering will involve a lot of chemistry related subjects. Some of the core subjects are -

Solid Mechanics, Complex Analysis, Chemical Engineering ,Thermodynamics, Intro to Transport Phenomena, Environmental Studies, Fundamentals of Heat and Mass, Chemical Processes, Chemical Process Design etc.
