Compared to normal B.tech course lateral entry students in engineering has more knowledge than the former as they have more practical knowledge. But a disadvantage is they face a bit problem while getting a good college because there are very few exams for them. But once you get into the college there is no looking back. Their are many reasons why a company will be having reasons to hire you over a normal B.tech student. The main reason is that you an extra degree and more practical knowledge.    As you are lateral entry student in BTech you wouldn't face any problem. Lateral entry system is only to fill the vacant seats in admission.

    In placement at the last year they focus on your stuff and communication skill.so don't worry about and don't feel sad about lateral entry.

  Enjoy your college and subjects prepare for placement in particular sections like English fluency and  communication skills.

That is not true.
There is nothing like that the lateral entry students or DSY students face any kind of issue in placements.
They are just the normal students.
In second year there might be an extra subject.
But at the time of placements they are considered similar to the normal students.

I hope you are doing well . No,the lateral students in btech do not face any problem in top engineering colleges in top companies if they work hard ,study well and develop their technical as well as their soft skills .

Regular students and Lateral entry students have the same  eligibility criteria for sitting in placements
Lateral entry students particularly doesn't face any problem.
You can easily sit in the placement.
It's just a myth.
