Hello Pratik,

The fee waiver for SC and ST students varies from college to college and also differs between colleges of different states.

In some of the states, there is no fee waiver for reserved category students like in sone government engineering colleges of Telangana.

However, in Maharashtra, most of the government Engineering colleges offer free of cost education in engineering degree courses  to SC, ST students. Also, if they belong to the home state then they sometimes don't even need to pay the hostel fees. The government takes care of all their costs.

However, there may be colleges that are exceptions to this, some colleges may have a lower fee for SC/ST students.

Hope this helps.
