There is a scope of computer science engineering in government sector but there are only few organisation or areas that requires a computer science engineer. Thus, it can be said that there is requirement but the demand is less.

It is an absolute mess if you consider no government jobs for Computer Science graduates. Their is no stream in India which discards Computer Science graduates because automation industry is at it's peak and for the further future the business of Computer Science will never stop because it's not just IT industry that CS grads are taken but there are a lot of field work companies and PSU's that has provisions for CS graduates for example-:
