In most of the cases the syllabus and the subjects for all Engineering branches in first year B.tech will be more or less the same. From second year the respective branch core subjects will be introduced so the subjects will be completely different for CSE, ECE and other branches as well. Now, if you want to do your M.tech in Computer Science then you must be familiar with the fundamental concepts of Computer Science. If you are interested in Computer Science Engineering then it will not be difficult for you to study computer science in M.tech level but it all depends on your aptitude, you need to be familiar with the fundamental concepts and you should put efforts from your side, if you have the required knowledge and interest then you can pursue M.Tech Computer Science.
