Hi,
Hope you are doing great.
Environmental justice is a movement to ensure that no people will get suffer from the inadequate fresh food supply, an unsafe environment. It is related to the fair treatment and involvement of all the people regardless of race, color, income with respect to the implementation, development of environmental policies and laws.
The concept of environmental justice originates in the 1980s.
One of the examples of environmental justice is inadequate access to healthy food to certain communities that have low income or belong to minorities. Another one is air and water pollution, many of the commodities like minorities or low income live near the industrial plants, water disposal sites then the air and water qualities will definitely gonna suffer if they are not properly maintained.
Hello Aspirant.
Hope you are doing well.
Environmental Justice is a movement focused on ensuring no people suffer due to having to live in an unsafe, unclean environment. Environmental justice is an important part of the struggle to improve and maintain a clean and healthful environment, especially for those who have traditionally lived, worked and played closest to the sources of pollution. Environmental justice advocates have shown that this is no accident. Communities of color, which are often poor, are routinely targeted to host facilities that have negative environmental impacts—say, a landfill, dirty industrial plant or truck depot. The statistics provide clear evidence of what the movement rightly calls "environmental racism." Communities of color have been battling this injustice for decades.
GOOD LUCK, STAY MOTIVATED AND HOPE THIS HELPS.
Thankyou.
