Hello,

Total number of JEE mains attempts is 6 now, that is twice a year in three consecutive years from the year of passing of their class 12 examination.
As for JEE Advanced it's only 2 attempts in consecutive years. So if you score good rank in the 3rd attempt of JEE Main you won't be able to qualify for JEE advance.

See, every student can apply for JEE Main examination for three consecutive years including the year in which you have given board exams. That makes number of attempts for JEE Main as six as it happens twice a year.

Now, every student has two attempts for JEE Advanced Exam.
