Hi there

The development of a multiparty system in India is as follows:

  • India is a big country so it,and multiparty system allows for more choice and a variety of opinions to be heard. So it adopted multiparty system.

  • The single party can't resprent the interest of the whole country , it cannot represent people belonging to different culture, so parties form alliance to come in power. This is called a multiparty system it is most common in countries like India.

  • Also,multi-party systemprevents the leadership of a single partyfrom controlling a single legislative chamber without challenge ,so India chose multi party system
