Fossils are the remains of the organisms which died millions of years ago. They help us to find the evolutionary links between different species. They give us information about how the new organisms have evolved from the earlier ones. They help us learn about extinct species and the time period in which they lived. Hence fossils are very important in deciding evolutionary relationship.
