Top private colleges like Manipal, VIT, SRM and Amrita conduct their own entrance exam to take admission few private colleges like LNMIIT, Thapar University, Jaypee Noida etc takes admission through JEE Main score. There are 10 to 15% seats in private colleges are reserved in every state for other state students which are filled by JEE Main score/rank
