The admission in Government polytechnic College in Lucknow is done through an entrance exam called UPJEE. The admission is done based on merit scored in the mentioned entrance exam. But, if you wish to join via direct admission, you can choose other colleges in Lucknow offering Polytechnic course. Note that, you will get direct admission in management quota ONLY.
