Hello aspirant ,
I see that you are in the same situation in which I was during my that period too and it's true that if you are in a average institution then u must go thinking of the package.
But I would suggest you that if you are passionate enough about choosing mechanical stream and dream of doing something great in it irrespective of placement or scope then definitely go for it . Your hard work and dedication would definitely make you Stand out.
Else if problem is that you know nothing about computers then do not worry. Basics is enough .
Rest the college will make you do.
I hope this helps
Regards
Madhur
