Hello, can you clarify difference between home state rank and all india rank for admission in NIT ?

Hello there,
Few quotas are applied during the admission in NIT. In the cutoff list, you will see there are different columns for home state and other states. For example, you are checking the cut-off rank list for NIT Warangal. Then, if you belong to that particular state (in this case, it's Telangana), then you come under the Home State Quota. And if not, then you come under the other state. Since some percentage of seats are reserved for the Home State candidates, the rank list is released in this way. You will come under the Home State Quota only if you belong to that particular state.
