See as you know that the total marks changes every year. So if you ignore those fluctuations and include the study curve in such a way that you assume the competition increases then also with a marks of around 250 you will expect a rank atleast in top 350.
**Although I don't think competition will increase. Some toppers and serious students will go on studying but in general the average ones will decrease more. So technically, you will have a wide spread distribution statistics with maximum concentration in the higher marks and lower marks.
