Any candidate who have 4 years after 10+2 Bachelors degree in Engineering/ Technology or 3 years after B.Sc./ Diploma in Engineering/ Technology and those who are in the final year of these programmes can apply for General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or are eligible for gate examination. Let me clera your doubt. You can't give gate exm if you have not cleared your backlog yet. To be eligible for gate exam atfirst you have topass in the exam in which you have got backlog.
