hello sir, In eligibility certificate form of Gate 2019, the signature by the director of my institute is correct? Or it is mandatory to get signature by only head of the department? ? As it is already mentioned that signature from HOD/institute. Please tell me!!

Hi Vartika,

The eligibility certificate for the GATE entrance exam 2019 can be signed by either the Head of the Department of your respective department or by the Head of your institute, i.e., in your case its the Director of the institute. The signature of either of them is valid and thus would suffice for the eligibility certificate for GATE 2019.
