There is a very slight chance that you can get into your home state NIT and that too in some lower branch. However, you could try for some other institutes which are under your state government, if there are state government engineering colleges in your state then surely you can grab a seat in them, however, you have to compromise with the branch.
Also, if you are serious about engineering and this was your first attempt, then I suggest you should take a drop and prepare again and give the exam next year. Try to score your all India rank under 30k. Then you can not only get into NIT of your choice but also the branch of your interest.
