If you could manage to get 500 then it is well and fine as with this marks you can get most of the private colleges.

It also depends upon the state from which you belong to as there are certain State Quotas in States like Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal, Odisha, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Kerala, Tamil Nadu.

Your reservation category also plays a crucial role in this.

Scoring 500+ is not a bad score. It will certainly help you to get a good  college . So, don't worry there is a good chance for you to get a seat in Private colleges.

You can also have a little hope to get a seat in Govt. Colleges also. So , go through the councelling process for Govt. Colleges . You may also able to get a good seat during 2nd / 3rd counselling process.

But if you are belonging to General category, then 500+ isn't surely enough to get a good Private college.

But don't lose hope , just go through councelling and hope you will get a seat in a good College.
