Hi aspirant,

No you wont be eligible for NEET 2023 if new verdict limits maximum age for general as 25 years as it would be counted by 31st December of that particular year and you would cross the maximum limit of 24. The eligibility criteria for NEET is as follows:

  • Candidate must be at least 17 years and the decision on the upper age limit is pending, so, all candidates are provisionally eligible to apply for NEET 2021.
  • Candidate must be an Indian National/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for admission in seats under the control of participating States/Universities/Medical Institutions
  • There are no restrictions on the maximum NEET attempt limit 2021.
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board. General category aspirants must have passed the qualifying examination with 45% marks, while for SC/ST/OBC the minimum marks should be 40%
  • Class 12 or equivalent appearing aspirants are also eligible to apply for NEET.

Hope it helps!!

Hello Aspirant,

See for now there is no upper age limit for candidates to appear in NEET UG but yes the matter is pending in SC and if by 2023 the verdict will be passed for upper age limit to be decided as 25 years then you would not be eligible for NEET UG 2023 but for now you are eligible for NEET 2023.

But there are some other criterion as well which needs to be fulfilled to be eligible for NEET 2023 :

** You must have passed 10+2 from any recognized central/state board.

** English should also be in your curriculum of class 12th and also you should have passed in it.

** You minimum age should be more that or equal to 17 years by December 31st 2023, as per the current eligibility criteria.

** As of now there is no upper age limit for NEET but the case is pending in Hon'ble SC and by 2023 if the verdict comes then the upper age limit may be decided and it can be either 25 or as decided by SC.
