To take admission in engineering you should have 75% marks in your board exam or you should be in top 20 percentile in order to take admission in IITs.

For SC/ST you should have 65% marks.

Yes you are, you should get atleast 50% for eligibility in IIT or NEET, etc. in 12th board. Then you can give ADVANCE and MAINS for getting selection in IITs. All the best

No it is not true my elder friend got 58% in 12th ICSE but he was eligible can got IIT Guwahati. So, don't worry
