hey...i have gotten very poor marks in chemistry (02/70), physics (05/70) but passed in maths (28/80)...in half yearly class 11..what are the consequences now? i hope i will not be removed from pcm stream but be given a 2nd chance for improvement...i also could not study due to my health issue...
Hello Snehetha,
No need to panic - half-yearly exams are primarily about self-diagnosis and not about deciding streams. Schools typically let students stay in PCM if they have chosen it, other than in cases of consistent lack of effort. You will simply explain your health issues to your teachers and ask for their help. You will definitely have the opportunity to make amends in the finals, so concentrate on making an effective study plan and building a strong foundation now.
Hello,
Don’t worry too much. Half-yearly exams are only for practice and checking your preparation. Schools do not usually remove students from the PCM stream just because of low marks in one exam.
You will definitely get a chance to improve in the next exams, like pre-boards and finals. Since you had health issues, you can also explain this to your teachers, they will understand.
Use this as a warning sign and start preparing with a proper study plan. Focus on basics and revise regularly. You still have enough time to improve your marks.
So, no need to panic. You will not be removed from PCM, but you must work hard from now onwards.
Hope it helps !
