Hello, CAT is for those who want to pursue their masters in management in central institutes. After your MBA degree you will be usually recruited as the managerial or supervision candidates in different fields like human resource, Field operations, supply chain etc.

Initially you should start the quantitative aptitude and practice daily. Then alongside start English and logical reasoning alternate days. For English reading newspaper daily helps greatly also your further election process of Wat and PI rounds will also be based on current affairs mostly. You can refer RS Agarwal book for preparation.
Start doing mock regularly before 4 to 5 months and don't wait till you finish the syllabus.
