Hello Muthu,

Well I am sorry to say, but your sister can't attend the JoSAA counselling as she didn't registered for the same. It is mandatory for everyone who wants a seat in NITs,GFITs or IIITs have to register for JoSAA and attend the counselling process. The last date for JoSAA registration was on 25th June.

Now, if your sister wants she can attend the CSAB counselling which will start after the end of JoSAA counselling. CSAB conducts counselling and admission of JEE Main qualified candidates to various NITs, CFITs and IIITs. Under CSAB there are three types of counselling- CSAB NEUT(for North-Eastern States and Union Territories) , CSAB SFTI(for Self Financed Technical Institutes) , CSAB UT (for Supernumerary Union-Territories). Now apart from these , a Special round of counselling will also be conducted by CSAB for the admission of candidates to NITs, GFTIs and IIITs.

Note : CSAB NEUT counselling registration form is available online till 6th July 2019.

Now below I have provided the eligibility criteria for all the proccesses of CSAB counselling -

CSAB NEUT :

  • They must have qualified the following subjects in 12th boards - Physics,Mathematics, any one of these subjects(chemistry, biotechnology, biology or technical vocational subject), any language and any one other subject.

CSAB UT :

  • Candidates needs to follow the state code eligibility. For such candidates there will be supernumerary quota.
  • Candidates should have not gotten seats till Special vacant seat filling round OR They need not have reported against any seat allotment in the earlier JoSAA rounds OR They have reported to the seat allotted at the reporting institute but was cancelled due to change in category and are still unallotted OR Those who have reported against allotted seats but withdrew at the 6th round of JoSAA
  • Those who have paid the initial fee and reported against seat allotment in JoSAA but didn't reported to the allotted institute.

CSAB Special Round :

  • Candidates needs to have valid JEE Main rank and should also meet up the JoSAA eligibility criteria.
  • The candidates who haven't registered or participitated in JoSAA will also be eligible to apply for the special round.
  • Candidates who failed to get a seat in JoSAA after participation are also eligible for special round.
  • Candidates who got seats in JoSAA but failed  to report to the allotted institute or had withdrawn their participation from counselling can also apply for special round.

Hello dear

As the registration date for josaa has been over and now the counseling process is going on.

But she can take part in special rounds ( through csab  site) after the 7 th round is over.

So keep checking the csab site for the registration ;for the vacant seat in nits ; iiit s and other GFTI s. And for other documents and related information.

Good luck
