It is not necessary to give JEE to get admitted to a college. You can get direct admission in colleges depending on your class 12 marks. To get direct admissions, you need to go to the college and apply in management quota by submitting the relevant documents which are required. The college may grant admission based on your eligibility and availabilty of management quota seats.
Or you can also sit for the entrance exam of the college you want to get admitted into. Both government and private colleges allow students this alternative.
Thank you.
Dear aspirant
JEE exams are required for admissions into NITs and IITs. Some engineering colleges accept JEE scores as a part of admission. You can still apply for other engineering entrance exams like BITSAT, SRMJEE, AP EAMCET, KCET etc for getting admission into a good engineering college. There are also colleges that accept board exam marks. So, there are other options if you aren't opting to do JEE.
Hope this helps
