It is a good option.First you should have a knowldege of exam pattern and syllabus before preparation.Also you should develop a habit of reading the newspaper and books as it will help to improve the grammar skill set, cover recent events & developments in the world and improve the basic general knowledge.Also practice previous year question papers and mock tests.Work on time management.
