Hey,

EWS reservation quota is given only for the General Category candidates . Other category candidates already have reservation benefits – OBC (27%), SC (15%), and ST (7.5%).

Your income should be less than 8 lacs per annum including all the sources.To be classified under EWS, your family should not own or possess agricultural land of size 5 acres or above.

You will have to get a 'income and asset certificate' to claim the benefits of EWS. You can get this certificate from the Below authorities:

• District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/ Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/Additional’ Deputy Commissioner/ 1st Class Stipendary  Magistrate/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate! Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner
• Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate
• Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar
• Sub-Divisional Officer or the area where the candidate and/or his family
  normally resides.

Then, the officer who will help you in certificate will ask you to show some documents and they will verify the certificate. This certificate will be the proof of your EWS benefits.
