See Computer science and engineering core branch is even more demanded by candidates in comparison to CSE with any specializations. Generally the closing ranks for the mentioned goes around 1500 but it is necessary to understand that there are several tie ups in the ranks. The seat allotment depends upon the preferences filled by you only so you must have tried filling other CSE related courses at Coimbatore campus in subsequent orders.

Still you have good chances as some seats get vacant in succeeding rounds of CSAP.
